Birthday Party Prep

Isaac had a birthday party with his friend Maura. Their birthdays are 1 day apart and they are in the same class. We threw a Playdoh party and invited the whole class. This required lots of planning and hanging out required for the Moms. Jen and I had fun getting everything ready. We took pictures of us making the party invitations. We had a little card factory going, and everyone had a job. The kids had fun. We also had a night where we made 15 batches of homemade playdoh and many other planning sessions.
Isaac and Maura had the gluing station. Jen was quality control and playdoh symbol cutter and Ethan glued on the playdoh symbols.
Maura and Isaac are such good friends. It is so cute!
My job was cutting the colored part of the invitation.

There's the invites.

Owen's Baptism

We were so excited to celebrate the baptism of Owen on October 24th. It is always an amazing experience to celebrate God's love for us and to commit to a lifetime of bringing our children up in faith.
Here we are asking for Owen to be baptized and committing to bringing him up in the practice of the faith. Owen is blessed with three wonderful godparents, Grandma Carol, Grandma Karen and Uncle Corbin. I know they will be wonderful examples for him.
Here we are getting ready for the big dip.

Our church practices submersion, so they want the infants to be in their birthday suit. Owen had fallen asleep during mass, and we woke him up when we started taking off his clothes. He was sooo good and barely cried when being baptized. He did have a hilarious look of surprise on his face when he went into the water.

Father thought the look on Owen's face was great. He laughed about it and told the whole church that they should have seen it.

Here we are with all the Godparents.

The happy family.

The day was made even more special because we had some special guests. Grandma Wiegmann and Grandma Korte came up with Aunt Vic. We just loved having them with us to celebrate! We did not get a picture, but Grandma and Grandpa Wilcox also came to the baptism. We are so blessed to have such loving, sweet wonderful Grandparents and Aunt! We love them so much!

My friend Amy is starting a cake business, and she made the cake for me. Each of the little cakes have a different symbol of baptism on it. It was not only beautiful, but also delicious!

First Snow

The entire family was excited to see the snow we got this weekend. Isaac and Ethan have spent almost the entire weekend playing outside. We had to force them to go for carriage rides and Christmas crafts in LeClaire yesterday. Great Grandma Arlene and Great Grandpa Wayne gave them snow brick molds last weekend, and we were excited to try them out already. They work GREAT! The boys made a brick wall yesterday, and today we used the bricks as bowling pins and the boys on sleds as bowling balls. They thought it was hilarious to crash into the bricks.

Building the wall with Daddy.

Its so nice to see them working together. They have really played nice together lately. They are good buddies.

Isaac threw that snow ball at me right after I took the picture. He likes to get me with the snowballs. Ethan is doing his famous crazy laugh in this picture.

We also had fun breaking the bricks over eachother's heads and pretending that we were karate chopping the bricks.

Climbing Trees

Here is Scott showing the boys how high he can climb the tree. This is the best climbing tree.

Ethan was not going to get in the tree. He is perfectly happy hanging out on the ground.

Four Month Pictures of Owen

These pictures were taken when Owen was 4 months old. He is such a cutie! He is an easy going little baby. He LOVES to be outside. Whenever we are outside he is so happy just to look around and see everything.

Caramel Apples

After two trips to the apple orchard to pick apples, we had lots of apples to eat up. We tried to make our own caramel apples. Isaac and Ethan's apples turned out really good. Here we are enjoying them together.

Ethan is talking in this picture. He always has something to say, even if it is in his own little made up language.

Owen is such a cutie!

Ethan's apple was better than mine, so I am trying to steal some of his. He is always good at sharing and had not problem giving me a bite.

Dance Party

Ethan likes to have dance parties. He started dancing with Owen, who absolutely loved it! He was smiling with his big wide open mouth smile. Ethan thinks it is really cool when he can make Owen smile and laugh.
