The Playdoh Party

Isaac had his first friend birthday party with his friend Maura. We met Maura and her family at kindergarten round-up. They live one street over from us. Isaac and Maura were put in the same class, and have been buds ever since. Their birthdays are 1 day apart, so we decided to have their party together. We invited their whole class, and almost everyone came!
We picked the playdoh theme because it worked for boys and girls. The kids thought it was great. One mom said her daughter said, "It's not just any party mom, it's a playdoh party". The birthday kids got special shirts made with love by the moms.
The kids had a blast creating with the playdoh. We just let them play. It was really fun getting to know Isaac's classmates.
Maura and her crazy creation.

Isaac was wound up the whole time, and loved the party.
More playdoh creating. The kids were all very good. Isaac has a nice class.

The kids had cheese pizza for supper. Pepperoni was also an option, but not many kids chose that.

The dads kept control of the kitchen. They were also the pizza chefs.

Aunt Traci saved the day by taking care of Owen. He got to watch all the kids from her lap and loved it. What would we do without Aunt Traci?

Isaac and Maura had to choose the playdoh creation that most looked like themselves. You can tell the judges are working hard picking the winner.

Ethan got right in the action. You would have thought that he was in Miss Gruenke's class too.

I love the way Isaac and Maura are looking at each other in this picture. This is when we sang "Happy Birthday" to them.

We let the kids eat their enormous cupcakes like a little cupcake. It was like their 1st birthday again, they just dived in.

Isaac is eating his colossal cupcake. The frosting is supposed to look like playdoh.

We had a little time to pass after cake, so the kids got to play Duck Duck Goose. They all really liked it.

Here are the kids opening their presents. It got a little wild. The party was a total blast, but I am glad I have a whole year to recover before the next one.
