Bergamota (Clementine) Picking

Thursday was a national holiday here, Corpus Christi.  We got to have Scott home all day.  One of Scott's collegue's, Giogo, invited us to his family farm.  It was really fun and just the perfect little outing for us.  We like to go apple picking in fall normally, so it was really exciting to go orange picking.  Giogo's parents, aunt and uncle and grandparents all live on the farm.

Scott and Giogo picking some clementines.  They have 5 different types of clementines that are ripe right now.  There are others that will be ripe in a couple months.

Here is Ethan picking some.  We purchased a juicer and made clementine juice out of these.  It tastes amazing!
Cool picture of Isaac with a clementine.  Many of them are huge, as big as a normal orange.  They are also very sweet.

Owen picking some oranges.

This is their cool garden.  It was huge.  They also had a bunch of papaya and banana trees growing by the clementine trees.  The chicken coop is in the background.  They had some baby chicks that Owen was peeping at.

We got to see their pigs and cows, which made Owen cry.  When we walked into the machine shed Owen said, in awe, "Combine".  He cracks me up because I have never heard him say combine before, but he can say things if he wants to.
