Our third day in Bonito was a stormy day. Everything we had planned required good weather, so we had to do some replanning. Out first plan was for the adults to have massages in the outdoor massage room.
This is a picture of the message room on a sunny day. It was extra relaxing with the rain hitting the roof.
The boys had fun playing in the hammocks. We made up this "awesome" game where Traci and I would lay in the hammock and count to ten. The boys would hide in different hammocks and then we had to guess which hammock they were in. They always wanted to play that. Worked for me!
For lunch we had alligator, which is in the big black bowl and piranha stew. Everything was delicious!
Owen liked the piranha stew.
In the afternoon we drove to Burraco das Araras. It rained the entire way there (1.5hrs) and the windshield wipers were broken. Miraculously, the rain stopped right as our tour was starting and we saw tons of macaws!
The macaws were so close we could have touched them. The like to live in the big hole because it is safe there for them.
Here we are in our rain jackets. Owen and Ethan were so cute!
They are beautiful birds. It was fun to see so many wild ones in one place.
These are some wild pineapple plants that I thought were interesting.
Back at the hotel there was a big group of older Brazillians from Northern Brazil. Their plans also got rained out, so they found a microphone and some instruments and played salsa and drank wine all day. It was pretty comical.
